Recently, a demonstration primary school in Uganda officially obtained the excellent performance certificate. It is understood that the project was successfully completed and handed over on September 15, 2019. The project performed well and met the standard requirements. This certificate will recommend the Engineering Bureau to provide civil engineering construction services to other units.

Entebbe-Changsha Model School

The Entebbe-Changsha Model School is located in Entebbe, about 40 kilometers south of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. At the beginning of 2019, at the request of the Entebbe Municipal Government in Uganda, the Changsha Municipal People's Government funded the upgrading and renovation project of a public welfare project undertaken by the Eighth Hydropower Bureau.

On April 26, 2023, Kang Zhenlin, deputy mayor of the Changsha Municipal People's Government, went to Uganda for research and visited the Entebbe-Changsha Model Primary School. During the period, Entebbe Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda and Municipal Education Officer Nalu Bega Joyce and school principal Nakaya Luopina expressed their gratitude to the Changsha Municipal Government and the Eighth Bureau of Hydropower, and highly praised the performance of the project construction.

Since July 2009, the Eighth Bureau of Hydropower entered the Uganda market as the first electrical construction subsidiary company, and has successively implemented the unit installation project of Bujakari Hydropower Station in Uganda, the upgrading and reconstruction project of Entebbe-Changsha Demonstration Primary School in Uganda, and the Karuma in Uganda under construction. The contract value of the hydropower station and its supporting power transmission and transformation projects in Uzbekistan exceeds 10 billion yuan. Obtaining the excellent contract performance certificate this time will help to further open up the municipal construction sector business, and help the Engineering Bureau to move towards the goal of becoming a first-class international engineering company with the most industry characteristics.
