Kyrgyzstan BK Highway

As an important transportation hub from Bishkek to Osh, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, the BK highway project undertaken by China Railway No. 5 Bureau has attracted great attention from all walks of life in Kyrgyzstan since its inception. State leaders of Kyrgyzstan have visited the construction site for inspection and guidance five times. The project is located in the northwest of Kyrgyzstan. It is an important transportation hub connecting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It is also an important promotion project of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor. After completion, it can effectively promote the development of Kyrgyzstan's economy, tourism and business.

Waya Railway in Tajikistan

China Railway Nine Bridges, a subsidiary of China Railway Industry, undertook tasks such as the manufacture, painting, and transportation of steel truss girders with a total weight of about 600 tons on the Wakhdat-Yawan Railway in Tajikistan. Waya Railway is the first railway project started and completed within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The starting point is located in Wahdat, 20 kilometers east of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, and the end point is located in Yawan, 50 kilometers south of the city. The total length of the project is 48.65 kilometers, officially opened to traffic in August 2016 and put into use.

China-aided Tajikistan Shar-Shar Tunnel and North-South Connection Project

The Shar-Shar Tunnel and the North-South Connection Project undertaken by China Railway Fifth Bureau is located on the Dushanbe-Kholog Highway, the capital of Tajikistan, and is an important link connecting the China-Tajikistan Highway. China-aided Kyrgyzstan Irrigation System Transformation Project

The China-aided Kyrgyzstan irrigation system reconstruction project undertaken by China Railway No. 5 Bureau is a practical cooperation project under the framework of the China-Kyrgyzstan intergovernmental assistance agreement on November 2, 2016. It is also the first project aided by the Chinese government in Kyrgyzstan. projects in the agricultural sector. The completion of the project will effectively improve the problem of water shortage and barren farmland for residents in this traditional agricultural country, increase the irrigated area by about 2,310 hectares, improve the water supply guarantee rate of about 11,000 hectares of land, benefit more than 20,000 people, and contribute to the economic development of Kyrgyzstan Create more opportunities. Uzbekistan Khiva Ancient City Restoration Project

The restoration project of the ancient city of Khiva participated by China Railway Research Institute is a Chinese-aided Uzbekistan project, which has been recognized by both China and Uzbekistan. Section 4 of the "Joint Statement on Further Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Uzbekistan" signed by the leaders of China and Uzbekistan mentioned that the two sides spoke highly of the protection and restoration of the ancient city of Khiva. The Uzbekistan side also stated that the cultural relics protection concepts and technologies brought by Chinese technicians have benefited a lot from this cultural heritage project.

The Kamchik Tunnel of Ampa Railway in Uzbekistan, designed by China Railway Sixth Institute and constructed by China Railway Tunnel Bureau, is 19.26 kilometers long. It is the throat of Uzbekistan's national railway network and is listed as the No. Known as the longest tunnel in Central Asia, the tunnel project won the Luban Award for China Construction Engineering and the Zhan Tianyou Award for China Civil Engineering.
