It is understood that the exhibition displays more than 5,000 gold, silver and copper coins from countries along the Silk Road such as ancient Greece, ancient Rome, ancient Persia, ancient India, ancient Arabia, Guishuang, and Central Asia.

As the capital city of Gansu Province and a major commercial port on the ancient Silk Road, Lanzhou is at an important node in the Belt and Road Economic Belt. It has witnessed the important history of exchanges between the Central Plains and countries along the Silk Road in ancient times, as well as the prosperous past along the ancient Silk Road. . Li Zhouming, curator of the Lanzhou Museum, said that the two-month exhibition not only tells the grand trade of camel bells, but also reflects a large number of cultural blending scenes on the ancient Silk Road, which is a witness of ancient Eastern and Western civilizations. It also reflects the cultural exchange and integration between the East and the West connected by the Silk Road.

The Silk Road is a main road for economic, political and cultural exchanges between the East and the West, and a road of integration, communication and dialogue between the East and the West. Fish and salt from the East China Sea, sable foals from the north, ivory from the south, gold beads from the western regions... This road is rich in everything and more than ten thousand kinds, leaving behind real coins from China and the West.

Zheng Wei, deputy curator of Lanzhou Museum, said that this exhibition is to lead the audience to taste the ancient coins with vivid patterns through the coins on the ancient Silk Road, understand the historical stories behind them, and reproduce the merchants and traders on the ancient Silk Road. The scene of the prosperity of Japanese money under the plug helps to understand the history and culture of the ancient Silk Road country contained in the square inch, and shows that Lanzhou, as an important city on the ancient Silk Road, has accumulated the multi-civilization genes of the Silk Road.
