2023 is the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Up to now, China has signed more than 200 cooperation documents on jointly building the Belt and Road with 151 countries and 32 international organizations. But in the West, voices to discredit the Belt and Road Initiative still exist. In an exclusive interview, Eric Solheim, co-chairman of the Belt and Road Green Development International Research Institute and former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, said bluntly: Behind the noise, jealousy is at work! He called on Western countries to correct their mentality: instead of envying China, it is better to improve themselves.

Solheim has seen too many Westerners who are arrogant and prejudiced against China, and many of them do not understand the truth. Solheim hopes to serve as a vehicle to bring good stories from China to the West, such as how China took the lead in solar power generation, or how China created the best railway system in the world.
