Recently, the reporter learned from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission that from January to April, 49 key projects in the autonomous region started construction, involving a total investment of 192.4 billion yuan, with a construction rate of 54%. It is reported that since 2023, the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region has conscientiously implemented the work deployment of the Party Committee and government of the Autonomous Region, further enhanced the sense of urgency and mission of high-quality development, and made every effort to promote the construction of key projects in the Autonomous Region.

From January to April, the construction of key projects in the autonomous region continued to exert efforts and steadily advanced, presenting a stable development trend. 49 key projects, including G219 Wenquan Khorgos Highway, Ganquanbao (including Wujiaqu, Wucai double line connected to Wujiaqu) 750 kV power transmission and transformation project, Jingpin 12 gigawatt high-efficiency single crystal silicon rod and silicon chip project, have been newly started, involving a total investment of 192.4 billion yuan.

From January to April, projects in key areas such as railways, electricity, oil and gas, emerging industries, and science and technology education made rapid progress. Major projects such as the Naomaohu Jiangjunmiao Railway, the Ili Bozhou Wusu Fenghuang II 750 kV transmission and transformation project, the Tarim Oilfield Kekeya Gas Storage Project, the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone Phase I of 200000 tons of high-purity polycrystalline silicon, and the Kashgar University East Campus accelerated construction, with an investment completion rate of over 25%.

Major projects such as the Naomaohu to Jiangjunmiao Railway, the Ili Bozhou Wusu Fenghuang II 750 kV transmission and transformation project, the Tarim Oilfield Kekeya Gas Storage Project, the Zhundong Development Zone 200000 ton high-purity polycrystalline silicon phase I, and the Kashgar University Dongcheng Campus have accelerated construction, with an investment completion rate of over 25%.

Among them, 2 projects including the reinforcement and removal of large and medium-sized dangerous water gates have been started in the water conservancy sector, 8 projects including the G680 Takshken-Chakurtu Highway and G217 Kuche Shaya Highway have been started in the transportation sector, 9 projects including the Bazhou Tieganrik Ruoqiang 750 kV transmission and transformation project and the Yitai Yili Mining Company coal mine project in the Yining mining area's small and medium-sized coal mine integration zone have been started in the energy sector, 14 projects including the 5G infrastructure construction project, the 200000 ton high-purity polycrystalline silicon (Phase I 100000 ton) project in the Zhundong Development Zone, and the Ganquanbao Land Railway Port logistics project have been launched in the industrial sector. 16 projects including the autonomous region's affordable rental housing, the Kashgar University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Center, and the Urumqi City's systematic and comprehensive promotion of sponge city construction demonstration city have been launched in the livelihood sector.

The third quarter is the golden period for project construction. On May 16th, the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region held the 3rd video scheduling meeting to promote the construction of investment projects, listened to the investment operation situation of various regions (states, cities) and the construction plan of investment projects in the second quarter, coordinated and solved the problems in the promotion of major projects, and fully promoted the construction of investment projects in the entire region.
