Recently, the Lazan-Alexinak road restoration project undertaken by China Power Construction Co., Ltd. was fully opened to traffic, which is a milestone in the improvement of Serbia's transportation channels. The State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Serbia Misic and others attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Misic delivered a passionate speech, thanking PowerChina for completing the project construction with high quality and realizing the opening of the whole line on schedule. He said that the smooth opening of the Lazan Highway Project is a milestone in the improvement of Serbia's transportation channels. He hopes that Serbia and China will deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, inject new impetus into Serbia's economic development, and open up broader development prospects.

Project Overview

The Lazan-Alexinak Road Restoration Project in Serbia is located in the city of Nis in southern Serbia. It is an upgrade and reconstruction project for the original E75 highway. The starting point of the highway is Lazan Interchange, and the end point is Alexinak Interchange, with a total length of 23.711 kilometers. The main contents of the project include the maintenance and reinforcement of 10 bridges, the dredging and repair of 52 culverts, the repair and new construction of 8 retaining walls, subgrade and pavement engineering, drainage engineering, and traffic engineering.

This project is the first completed project of PowerChina in Serbia, and the first European-funded and European-standard highway project undertaken by PowerChina.
