Recently, the domestic minimum diameter (φ914mm) fast roofing machine developed by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was accepted and rolled off the production line. This equipment will be exported and participated in the natural gas pipeline laying project in Bangkok, Thailand, to ensure the natural gas supply of the power plant in the south of Bangkok.

The ultra-small-diameter pipeline of the natural gas pipeline laying project in Bangkok, Thailand is divided into multiple long sections. The diameter of the pipeline is only Ф914 mm, and the longest section is 1 km long. And measurement and control guidance precision requirements are extremely high. For this reason, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has overcome relevant technical problems and developed an ultra-small diameter fast roofing machine, which provides a strong guarantee for the implementation of the project.

The rapid roof laying machine is composed of two parts: a roadheader and a pipe pusher. The tunnel excavation is carried out by the roadheader, and the pipe pusher clamps the pipe and pushes it into the ground to realize tunnel excavation and pipe laying at the same time. Compared with traditional directional drilling and pipe jacking methods, this construction method has higher construction efficiency, wider geological adaptability, and safer and more reliable construction process.
