As of the end of April 2023, China's installed wind power capacity is 380 million kilowatts, and photovoltaic power generation installed capacity is 440 million kilowatts. 820 million kilowatts, about the total installed capacity of 36 Three Gorges Power Stations.

Since 2023, investment in wind power and photovoltaic power generation projects has continued to grow, injecting more green kinetic energy into energy supply. From January to April, the investment in wind power was 40 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.7%; the investment in solar power generation was 74.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 156.3%. In the Yalong River Basin, at the site of the Kela Photovoltaic Power Station project at an altitude of 4,600 meters, the builders are making every effort to achieve the goal of grid-connected power generation in the middle of the year.

During the critical period of this year's peak season, the supply capacity of the cascade hydropower stations on the Yalong River is expected to be 49.4 billion kwh, an increase of 2.3 billion kwh compared to the same period last year. In addition to the new energy power generation projects such as Kela photovoltaic and Labashan wind power that will be put into operation this year, the power generation is expected to increase by 900 million kwh in the same period, and the power supply capacity can reach 50.3 billion kwh, which can meet the needs of 16 million households throughout the year. use.

At the same time, the competitiveness of my country's wind power photovoltaic industry chain continues to maintain a global leading level. China is already the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturing base, and the output of some key components accounts for more than 70% of the global market. In terms of photovoltaics, in the first quarter of 2023, the output of China's photovoltaic polysilicon, silicon wafers, cells, and modules has increased by more than 58% year-on-year; the total export of photovoltaic products has exceeded 14 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of over 15%.
