On May 25, 2023, the signing ceremony for the new 2×350 MW cogeneration project between Lanzhou New District and Gansu Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd. was held. Li Dongxin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the New Area and Director of the Management Committee, and Xu Jizong, Chairman of Gansu Nenghua Co., Ltd. attended and signed the contract.

2×350 MW cogeneration project

It is understood that the project plans to build 2×350 MW supercritical power generation and heating units, with a designed annual power generation capacity of 3.5 billion kWh and a centralized heating area of about 12.5 million square meters. The total investment of the project is 3.501 billion yuan. After completion, it can realize an annual output value of 1.79 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 31.21 million yuan, which can directly drive employment for about 350 people.

At present, the project is preparing a feasibility study report and going through various preliminary procedures. It is planned to start construction on September 1, 2023, and complete and put into operation on October 30, 2025.

The construction of the thermal power project in Lanzhou New District of Gansu Nenghua is in line with the national energy-saving industry policy and the development plan of Gansu Province and Lanzhou City. The safety of power grid operation is of great significance. Editor/He Yuting
