Recently, three Angolan internal combustion multiple units developed by CRRC have been launched on the Benguela Lobito section of the Benguela railway, providing effective support for strengthening intercity travel and personnel mobility in coastal cities in the province. On the same day, many local residents boarded the train to experience Made in China, and local officials in Benguela highly praised the operation of this batch of trains.

The high-speed train unit adopts a 4-car formation, with integrated power packs and a suspension system under the train. It is a high-end model of intercity transportation, with a maximum continuous operating speed of 100km/h, and can achieve triple operation of three trains. On July 21, 2022, CRRC Tangshan exported Angolan diesel multiple units to the Luanda Railway.

To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Benguela Lobito section trains of the Angolan internal combustion multiple unit, the Angolan after-sales service team of CRRC Tangshan Company upgraded the software of traction, network, auxiliary, passenger information and other systems after the completion of vehicle formation. Afterwards, strictly follow the requirements of the delivery documents and conduct tests item by item to ensure that the train meets the acceptance and delivery status. After the acceptance and delivery of the train, the Angolan after-sales service team insists on conducting daily functional checks on the diesel engine and other systems of the train, promptly identifying and addressing problems, and ensuring that all working conditions are normal.

In response to the numerous problems with Angola's railway lines, only by adding passengers for trial operation can the problems be detected to the maximum extent possible. The after-sales service team in Angola updated and adjusted the station reporting system according to user requirements and actual situations during the trial operation.

Due to the platform being too close to the compensation pedal of the car door, and considering the tilting angle of the vehicle during operation, in order to prevent scratches, after-sales personnel and users jointly set the maximum speed when entering the station. In response to the blockage of the intake and cooling units caused by garbage on the line, after-sales personnel have actively increased the frequency of cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that the internal combustion multiple unit is put into operation with zero faults.Editor/Ma Xue
