On May 29, 2023, Luliang County held a signing ceremony with Northern Stone Technology Co., Ltd. for the photovoltaic crystal silicon new material manufacturing project. Liu Jifei, Secretary of the Luliang County Party Committee, and Zhang Lucheng, Chairman of North Stone Technology Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony.

It is reported that the total investment of the photovoltaic crystalline silicon new material manufacturing project in Luliang County, Yunnan Province is 6.72 billion yuan. The proposed site is located in the Damogu area of Luliang Industrial Park, covering an area of about 800 mu, mainly producing new photovoltaic crystalline silicon rods and silicon chips. The project is fully completed and has an annual output of 20GW of crystalline silicon rods and wafers, with an annual output value of about 16 billion yuan and an annual tax payment of about 460 million yuan. Among them, the first phase investment is 1.73 billion yuan, with an annual output of 5GW of crystalline silicon rods and wafers, realizing an annual output value of about 4 billion yuan, and an annual tax payment of about 120 million yuan; Phase II investment is 4.99 billion yuan, with an annual output of 15GW crystalline silicon rods and wafers, an annual output value of about 12 billion yuan, and an annual tax of about 340 million yuan.

The successful signing of this project marks an important step in the cooperation between Luliang County and Beibei Stone Technology Co., Ltd., laying a solid foundation for mutual benefit and deeper cooperation between the two parties in the future. It will help Luliang's photovoltaic industry to reach a new level, showcase a new atmosphere, and promote the high-quality leapfrog development of the new energy and new materials industry in the county.
