On June 6, 2023, the first Chinese-made large cruise ship "Aida Modu" officially left the dock after completing a series of tests in the dock at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, marking the completion of the main construction of the cruise ship and the transfer to the dock mooring commissioning stage. It is only one step away from picking the last pearl in the crown of the shipbuilding industry, filling the blank of China's domestic large cruise ship, and realizing the historic moment of zero breakthrough in the field of large cruise construction.

As an integrated and intensive giant system project of modern industry and modern urban construction, large cruise ships represent a country's equipment manufacturing capacity and comprehensive scientific and technological level, and are known as the pearl in the crown of shipbuilding industry. With a total length of 323.6 meters and a width of 37.2 meters, the ship has more than 25 million installed parts, a total of 2,826 cabins and a maximum capacity of 5,246 passengers.

At present, the overall progress of Aida Modu is 94.62%, and the construction progress is 92.159%. According to the plan, "Aida Modu" will conduct two sea trials in July and August, fully verify the power and propulsion system and other functions related to the safety of the cruise ship, complete the acceptance and submission of the cabin and public area installation project, and deliver at the end of the year.
