At 10:00 on June 11, 2023, with the smooth connection between the last blade of 3 # wind turbine and the hub, it marks the successful completion of the hoisting of the first wind turbine of the first million Kilopower offshore wind power project in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area - China General Nuclear Power Group Huizhou Port 1 million kW offshore wind power project phase II. At this point, the project has officially entered the comprehensive lifting stage, sounding the charge for the full capacity grid connection battle.

CGN Huizhou Port No.2 Offshore Wind Power Project is located in the southern sea area of Port Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City, with a water depth range of 31m-40m, and the nearest distance from the land is about 22km. It is proposed to arrange 10 8.5MW fans, 45 12MW fans, and 9 14MW fans, and build a 220kV sea booster station to support the construction of the onshore centralized control center at the same time. The hoisted fan is an 8.5MW model. The center of the fan hub is 135.9m from the sea level, and the blade is 111m long.

CGN Huizhou Port 1 million kilowatt offshore wind power project, the first phase of 250000 kilowatts has been connected to the grid for power generation on December 28, 2021, and the second phase of 750000 kilowatts is planned to be connected to the grid for full capacity power generation by the end of this year.
After the full capacity of the project is put into operation, it will become the first million Kilopower offshore wind power project base in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. At that time, it will provide about 3 billion kilowatt hours of clean power every year, equivalent to saving about 1 million tons of standard coal, reducing about 2.35 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to about 6000 hectares of afforestation, with significant economic and social benefits.
