The staff of China RAILWAY 18TH BUREAU GROUP Uganda Company will come to the "Happy Farm" of Tororo Camp to water, fertilize and weeded the vegetables after work. This has become the "happy land" of the staff ina foreign country.

Among them, there are peanuts, bananas, cabbage, beans, pumpkins and other vegetables, lush and fruitful. At the beginning of the construction of the camp, the project department planned 300 square meters of vegetable fields, ready to show their skills in the fertile East African land and enrich the "vegetable basket" of employees.

"Every day after finishing the work at hand, we have to come here to look around", Liu Xianwu, an employee of the project department office, detailed the vegetable field in front of us, "here every day to weed, look at the growth of vegetables, personally pick fruits, as if returning to the vegetable field in my hometown, enjoy a moment of leisure, let people forget the tense work for a short time."

There is less variety of local vegetables, and project staff often miss the "taste" of home. To this end, the project team encourages employees to bring back rapeseed from home, share their experience in planting vegetables with each other, constantly enrich the variety of vegetables, and improve the "happiness on the tip of the tongue" of employees.

Watching the carefully cultivated okra blossom one by one and grow up little by little, my heart is full of joy of success. This vegetable has high nutritional value and smooth taste, which is loved by the staff of the project department.

"Boiled fresh flowers, cold crisp mango, boiled tender corn and other light and fresh dishes are more and more popular", chef Guo Cunqi is busy preparing dinner, cleaning fresh beans and peppers just picked, "although the vegetable field area is not large, but successfully grow a wide variety of vegetables, to the staff recipes added a number of special dishes".

The project department not only grows vegetables, but also engages in breeding, turning organic waste from the kitchen into treasure for feeding chickens and rabbits and other poultry, which not only enriches the staff's holiday table, but also brings more fun to everyone.

"After work, we often play basketball, billiards, or walk along the vegetable field, chat and enjoy free time", site technician Wei Naixiang every day after the construction site is busy, often take care of fruits in the vegetable field, tease rabbits, enjoy the garden happy time, get a moment to relax in the busy. "The company has created a comfortable working and living environment for us, and we also want to make more efforts to contribute to our positions."
