Recently, the LNG storage tank outer tank project of Zhejiang LNG Phase III Terminal Project officially started. It is reported that the LNG storage tank built in this project is the largest LNG storage tank in the world at present.

During the period from June 3 to June 16, 2023, the project department made overall planning, developed an entry plan in advance, coordinated the entry of personnel and mechanical equipment, actively coordinated with the owner, general contractor, and supervision unit to start the construction work, and completed the pre construction materials review, personnel and equipment entry, personnel education and training, and safety technical disclosure in advance, laying the foundation for the project commencement.

The Terminal Project of Zhejiang LNG Phase III Project will build six 270000 m3 LNG storage tank and supporting facilities in Beilun District, Ningbo City, with a construction scale of 6 million tons/year, including 4.5 million tons/year for gaseous export and 1.5 million tons/year for liquid export. The LNG pipeline will be connected with the reserved pipeline interfaces of Zhejiang LNG Phase I and Phase II projects, and supporting gasification facilities, public and auxiliary facilities, etc. Meanwhile, Guangming Wharf will be transformed into a special LNG wharf.

The Zhejiang LNG Phase III Project Receiving Terminal Project is a key construction project in Zhejiang Province in 2023 and a key national oil and gas infrastructure project. After completion, this project is of great significance in optimizing the energy structure of the Yangtze River Delta region, protecting the ecological environment of the Yangtze River Delta, accelerating the industrial transformation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and helping China achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
