Lot 3 Project of Lublin Chełm Section of Poland S12 Expressway
On June 19, 2023, the Municipal Power Construction Company and the Polish National Roads and Highways Administration signed the contract for Lot 3 of Lublin Chełm S12 Expressway in Poland.
The project is located in Lublin Voivodeship Province in the southeast of Poland, 225km away from the capital Warsaw, and the construction period is 39 months. The main content of the project is to design and construct a two-way expressway with a length of approximately 22.5 kilometers, as well as supporting infrastructure and environmental protection facilities. The Polish S12 Expressway is part of the government's plan for the construction of national highways in Poland in 2030. After completion, it will form a horizontal supplement to Poland's existing and emerging highway network.

Minister Rafael Weber said at the signing ceremony that the S12 expressway project has a very important impact on the traffic in Lublin. After completion, it will greatly improve road safety and traffic convenience, enhance the economic potential of the whole region, and bring more investment and employment opportunities to the region.
The undertaking of the Polish S12 expressway project further expanded the influence of Power Construction Corporation of China in the Polish infrastructure market. The Power Construction Municipal Company will continue to play the role of the Project Performance Unit (PIU), carry out pre project planning and resource allocation, improve project performance supervision and cost control, promote orderly project implementation, and achieve high-quality localized development of the company.
Tanzania Mafenga to Mgololo 81km Highway Project
The 9th Hydroelectric Bureau won the bid for the 81 kilometer highway project in Tanzania. The project is in EPC mode, and the owner is Tanzania National Highway Administration. The construction site is located in Iringa Province, the southern highland of Tanzania, and it passes through Mafenga, Kalinga, Mpaga, Rugolo, Mgololo and other places from north to south. The main construction content of the project includes 1.62 million cubic meters of surface cleaning, 340000 cubic meters of excavation and backfilling, 280000 cubic meters of roadbed, and 6 kilometers of concrete pipe culverts. The total construction mileage is 81 kilometers, and the construction period is 36 months.

After the completion of the project, it will play an important role in improving the local transportation network and building a comprehensive regional transportation system. It can effectively improve the travel conditions of vehicles and residents along the route, further enhance the accessibility of the road surface, accelerate the integration and interconnection of urban and rural development, and assist in the local socio-economic development.Editor/Ma Xue
