Project Overview

On September 29, 2022, the integrated green ammonia synthesis project of wind and solar hydrogen production in Otog Banner was included in the second batch of wind and solar hydrogen production demonstration projects in the autonomous region, which is the first batch of wind and solar hydrogen production demonstration projects in Ordos City. The total investment of the project is 3.8 billion yuan. A new 20000 ton green hydrogen Electrolysed water hydrogen production station, a 500 MW wind farm and a 60 km 220 kW transmission line project will be built; New 5 MW off grid photovoltaic power generation flexible DC hydrogen production technology innovation project; A supporting 150000 t/a green hydrogen synthetic ammonia plant and a Charging station comprehensive station for hydrogenation, refueling and gas filling will be built in the downstream.

The annual power generation of the supporting new energy project is about 1.53 billion kilowatt hours, which can save 459759.3 tons of standard coal. There is no waste gas or residue generated during the production process, and the environmental benefits are significant. It is a zero carbon green chemical project.

The development of new energy and new material industries in Otog Banner has unique resource advantages, geographical advantages and policy advantages. The region has sufficient wind and light energy. Based on the park's load advantages, peak shaving advantages and development advantages, it is an important position to help Ordos develop world-class new energy industry clusters.
