Recently, a reporter from Jiandao Network learned from the Provincial Development and Reform Commission that the feasibility study report for the Guanyun Shuyang section of the Lianyungang Suqian Expressway has been approved, marking an important breakthrough in the preliminary work of the project. As an east-west expressway connecting Suqian and Lianyungang, the construction of Lianyungang Expressway has significantly shortened the travel time between the two places.

Project Overview

The Guanyun Shuyang section of the Lianyungang Suqian Expressway is an important component of the Lianyungang Suqian Expressway in the Jiangsu Province Expressway Network Plan (2017-2035). The project starts from Xiaoyi Junction at the intersection of Changshen Expressway in Guanyun County, Lianyungang City and Xuwei Guanyun Section of Liansu Expressway under construction, ends at the east side of G2 Beijing–Shanghai Expressway in Shuyang County, Suqian, and connects with Shuyang Suyu Section of Liansu Expressway under construction. The total length of the line is about 49.3km. It is constructed according to the standard of two-way four lane expressway, with a design speed of 120km/h. There are 26 main line bridges, 3 interchanges, 2 hub interchanges There are 3 toll booths and 1 service area. The estimated total investment of the project is approximately 8.539 billion yuan.
