Finnish independent energy producer Ilmatar announced plans to develop a 350 MW Solar power station in Grums, Vermland County, central Sweden.
The company has reached a 50 year lease agreement with the landowner of Grums, so one of the largest Solar power station in the country can be built on 300-400 hectares of leased land. It will be located in forest areas that have been damaged by bark beetles and therefore cannot be used for other purposes.

The annual clean energy power generation capacity of the Solar power station is 350 GWh, which will meet the energy demand of 17500 households. The company leased enough land in Sweden in less than a year to generate 4.2 terawatt hours of solar power annually, enough to power 210000 households.
Ilmatar Solar CEO Christian Gustafsson stated that we are firmly committed to expanding Sweden's renewable energy production and look forward to completing the construction and connecting the farm to the main grid as soon as all permits are in place. Grums Farm is a long-awaited energy production power with special importance in the local area.

At the beginning of June 2023, the company announced to develop two Solar power station in Finland, with a total capacity of 230 MW. These factories will be located in Huutokoski and Vuotsinsuo in Joroinen City. Their grid connection is expected to be in early 2025.
In September 2022, the company announced its plan to build a 550MW Solar power station in Motala, Östergötland County Province, Sweden.Editor/XingWentao
