US media recently reported that China and India have made "more investment" in addressing climate change than imagined, especially in deploying clean energy to replace traditional fossil fuels, and both countries have become leaders.
The report takes China as an example, stating that its per capita greenhouse gas emissions are only half that of the United States, while its solar power generation accounts for one-third of the world, more than twice that of the United States, and its wind power generation is close to twice that of the United States. China is building far more renewable energy facilities than any other country, and it is expected that one-third of China's power supply network will come from renewable energy by 2025.
Through large-scale energy infrastructure projects such as the the Belt and Road Initiative, China's influence in the global market has increased significantly. By investing heavily in emerging energy markets, China not only enhances its own energy security, but also significantly expands its global influence.Editor/Ma Xue
