Recently, the South African Ambassador to China launched an online live broadcast at the African Good Things Online Shopping Festival held in Changsha, enthusiastically bringing goods to South Africa's national treasure tea.

From South African red wine to doctoral tea and other products, Xie Shengwen is familiar with his hometown's products. During the live broadcast, he also played a flash sale, and 100 simple packaged small tea bags were sold out in inventory for tens of seconds.

Feeling the enormous energy of China's e-commerce economy, Xie Shengwen excitedly stated in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that the emerging live streaming and sales methods in China can provide consumers with a visual display of high-quality African products and quickly achieve product delivery, which is a powerful tool for South Africa to connect with the global consumer market. He hopes that South Africa and China can deepen cooperation in the digital economy, e-commerce, and other areas, and accelerate mutual benefit and reciprocity of high-quality products between both sides through online live streaming, online shopping, and other means.

The third China Africa Economic and Trade Expo opened in Changsha on June 29th. The theme of this China Africa Economic and Trade Expo is to seek common development and share the future, and Xie Shengwen is one of the attending guests. He said that, like live streaming with goods, there is enormous potential for cooperation and exchange between China and Africa, and China is full of opportunities for African countries.

Xie Shengwen said that China is South Africa's largest trading partner, and South Africa continues to benefit from cooperation with China. This stems from our firm mutual trust relationship, and economic and trade cooperation has been continuously deepened. 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the the Belt and Road Initiative. Xie Shengwen said: Since South Africa participated in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road in 2015, its infrastructure has been greatly improved, which plays an important role in our economic development.

Xie Shengwen stated that the two countries have complementary advantages in many fields and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. Opportunities lie in various areas of cooperation between the two sides. Chinese enterprises have created a large number of jobs for South Africa and played a great role in the modernization of Economy of South Africa's economy.

Turning to investment in China, Xie Shengwen said that South African enterprises have broad prospects for development in China. The Government of South Africa will continue to encourage its own enterprises to increase investment in China, and expects the two sides to further deepen mutual benefit and win-win results. South Africa and China have profound friendship, close exchanges, and broad prospects for cooperation.
