Since 2023, China has made multiple new breakthroughs in the exploration and development of various mineral resources, effectively ensuring national energy and resource security and injecting new vitality into economic development. In recent days, the surface engineering of Chongqing Qijiang Shale Gas Field has been basically completed, which also marks that the shale gas field with geological reserves of more than 100 billion cubic meters has an annual gas transmission capacity of 500 million cubic meters.
Since 2022, China's recoverable reserves of oil, natural gas and Shale gas have increased by varying degrees, with year-on-year growth of 3.2%, 3.6% and 3%. In addition, 17 minerals such as coal, copper, gold, rare earth, zinc, and fluorite have formed a batch of new resource reserves.
With continuous breakthroughs in geological exploration, China's mineral resources are further consolidated. The latest data shows that among the 163 minerals with confirmed mineral resource reserves in China, multiple strategic mineral reserves such as copper, lithium, and cobalt have continued to grow, effectively enhancing China's resource continuity ability and laying a solid foundation for high-quality economic and social development and resource security guarantee.Editor/Ma Xue
