On the afternoon of July 2, 2023, during the 19th Western China International Fair, the Dazhou Manufacturing Investment Promotion Conference and the signing ceremony of the cooperation project agreement were held in Chengdu. 12 projects were signed on-site with a total planned investment of 35.42 billion yuan, covering multiple industrial fields such as energy and chemical engineering, new materials, intelligent equipment, and electronic information. State Power Investment Group Sichuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. plans to invest 18.5 billion yuan in the construction of CDB efficient and clean coal power comprehensive utilization integration project in Dachuan District, Dazhou City. The project is divided into two phases, with the initial construction of two 1 million kilowatt high-efficiency coal-fired power generation units. In the future, an innovative integration base of "coal power+new energy+comprehensive smart zero carbon power plant" will be built. After all projects are completed and put into operation, it will help improve the power structure of the province, enhance the peak shaving function of the power grid, and enhance the emergency support capacity of electricity and coal. This project is the second billion level project introduced by Dazhou in 2023.

Dazhou promoted investment promotion as the No. 1 project and the key move to accelerate the transformation of new and old kinetic energy. Over the past year, it attracted seven 10 billion level advanced manufacturing projects, including Zhejiang Zhengkai Advanced Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, Ganfeng Lithium High Purity Lithium Salt and Retired Battery Comprehensive Recycling Project, Honeycomb Energy Lithium Battery Zero Carbon Industrial Park, to promote the development of the city's manufacturing industry in clusters and overall leap.
