On the morning of July 7, 2023, the construction promotion meeting of 200MW/800MWh new energy storage project in Mesa High tech Zone was held.

The New Energy 200MW/800MWh Air Energy Storage Project in Mesa High tech Zone is a new power system with new energy as the main body, which is the first to be implemented in Pingdingshan City in order to build a clean, low-carbon and efficient energy system based on the "dual carbon" goal and in accordance with the national supporting policy of "new energy+energy storage".

The project adopts a non supplementary combustion thermal storage compressed air energy storage system, and the first phase of the project also constructs a lithium battery energy storage project. The project is planned to cover an area of approximately 150 acres, with a total planned investment of 2.3 billion yuan. The implementation of the project can significantly reduce the carbon emissions of enterprises in the region, achieve energy conservation and emission reduction for enterprises, guide green technology innovation for enterprises, promote industrial optimization and upgrading, accelerate the comprehensive application of green and low-carbon technologies, establish a green and low-carbon industrial system, and help the High tech New Area achieve the "dual carbon" goal as scheduled to lay a solid development foundation.

The project is invested and constructed by Henan Newway Technology Co., Ltd. According to the meeting requirements, firstly, it is necessary to focus on pre preparation work related to project planning, land, design, etc., and accelerate the project construction progress; The second is that all work related to project construction should be carried out synchronously and pushed forward, and if necessary, parallel approval and vacancy handling should be implemented; Third, in accordance with the requirements of "whistling in the park and reporting to the department", Lingang Park will take the lead in managing the project, and all relevant departments of Mesa High tech Zone will cooperate and provide services to ensure that the project will start in September 2023 as planned.
