Chen Meihua, who was born and raised in Singapore, is the third generation of local Chinese. In 2009, she joined the Tunnel Construction International Singapore Regional Center and worked with a group of colleagues from more than ten countries around the world to participate in the construction of multiple rail transit and water projects in Singapore. Over the past decade of work, the implementation of various livelihood projects, market recognition, and continuous development of the city have made Chen Meihua feel proud in her eyes.

We have participated in the construction of the Singapore Rail Transit Loop Line, Urban Line, Tangshan Line, Tangshan East Coast Line, etc. Chen Meihua said that whenever she rides on the rail transit section where her company is involved in construction in daily life, she would happily praise her family and friends.

In recent years, Chen Meihua has been delighted to see that Tunnel Corporation has introduced many advanced technologies and equipment from China into its projects in Singapore. In the past two years, we have achieved the first application of rectangular pipe jacking equipment in Singapore, the first application of VSM vertical shaft excavation equipment in Asia, and are also promoting the technology and equipment of ultra large diameter shield tunneling to the Singapore market. This is a widely used and mature construction plan for Tunnel Company in China. Chen Meihua said that we hope this technology can be applied in Singapore, allowing us to contribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese manufacturing to urban construction.Editor/Ma Xue
