Recently, the 4.5 million ton green intelligent mining and beneficiation technology transformation project of Bazhou Dunde Mining Co., Ltd. in Hejing County, Xinjiang has been approved by the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region. The successful approval of the project marks a key step towards substantive construction of the project.

It is reported that this project is a key engineering project planned by the autonomous region and local government during the 14th Five Year Plan period, with a total planned investment of 2.188 billion yuan. Construction will begin in 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025, creating a first-class and benchmark modern mine in Xinjiang.

The main construction content of the project includes: mining development, ventilation, six major systems, power supply and distribution engineering construction, so as to increase the raw ore production capacity from 1.5 million tons/year to 4.5 million tons/year; Build a new 4.5 million ton/year scale crushing production line; A new 3 million ton/year scale beneficiation plant and tailings pond will be built for beneficiation, forming a raw ore processing capacity of 4.5 million tons/year with the original 1.5 million ton beneficiation plant; Simultaneously construct new office and living areas as well as public and auxiliary facilities.

Under construction, the Dunde 4.5 million ton green intelligent mining and selection technology transformation project will build a 5G+industrial interconnection intelligent mine through automation, informatization, and intelligent systems. After completion, the underground mining equipment will be remotely controlled on the surface, and the ground transportation vehicles will be unmanned, advancing towards the goal of unmanned mining; The use of green electricity mining cards by surface transportation vehicles and the subsequent investment of wind and solar green electricity will truly make it a first-class mining production base with the strongest comprehensive recycling and utilization ability, green, low-carbon, and intelligent for polymetallic mines.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to produce 1.6641 million tons of iron concentrate, 56300 tons of zinc concentrate, and 4100 tons of gold concentrate annually. The total annual profit is 380.02 million yuan, which plays an important role in strengthening the development and utilization of mineral resources, promoting the transformation of advantageous resources, and promoting local economic development.

Since 2023, with the strong support of the party committee and the government of the autonomous prefecture and Hejing County, the construction of the 4.5 million ton green intelligent mining and beneficiation technology transformation project in Dunde has been accelerated. On March 16, the project was listed in the national resource guarantee cornerstone plan directory, and on May 23, it was listed in the autonomous region to promote key iron ore projects, providing a strong guarantee for the approval of the project.
