Shaanxi, a major transportation province in China, is planning to build a new round of intercity rapid rail system. On July 10, 2023, the official website of Xi 'an Metro released the "Environmental Impact Assessment Information for the Adjustment of the Construction Plan of the Intercity Railway Network of Guanzhong Urban Cluster", announcing three intercity railways: Yanliang (Fuping) to the airport, Xi 'an to Famen Temple intercity railway from Famen Temple to Jiangzhu, Xi 'an to Famen Temple Intercity railway from Meixian East to Taibai. A total of 123.4km, 19 stations.

Yanliang (Fuping) to the airport intercity railway

It is 71.9km long and passes through Xixian New Area, Gaoling, Lintong, Yanliang and other places. Yanliang (Fuping) to Airport Intercity railway is an important express passenger corridor in the north of Xi 'an metropolitan area. The line starts from T5 comprehensive transportation Center of East Terminal of Xi 'an Xianyang International Airport and passes through Xixian New Area (Airport, Qinhan, Jinghe New City), Xi 'an City (Jingwei Industrial Park, Gaolin, Lintong, Yanliang Aviation Industrial Park, Yanliang District), Fuping County, Weinan City. Finally Fuping county Huaide Street station.

The total length of the line is 71.9km, with 14 stations (2 underground stations and 12 elevated stations), the average station spacing is about 5.5km, including 7 transfer stations. Xi 'an section (including Xixian New Area) is 63.4km long, with 11 stations (2 underground stations, 9 elevated stations), including 7 transfer stations; Weinan section of the line is 8.5km long, with 3 stations, all of which are elevated stations. The vehicle base is arranged in accordance with 1 section and 1 field, respectively for Shujia Village car depot and Huazhu village parking lot.

Xi 'an to Famen Temple intercity railway Famen Temple to Jiangzhu section

It is 24.0km long and has Famen Temple Station. The section from Xi 'an to Famen Si Intercity Railway to Jiangzhu is led from the north of the west end of Jiangzhu Station on the Longhai Line. It first runs along the existing Longhai upstream line, passes through S107, turns north at Nanyao Village, turns northwest at Duanjia Town, crosses the main trunk Canal of Baojixia, reserving Xiguan Station at the west of Xiguan Village, and then sets up a large bridge to cross the Weihe River, and turns north at the west of Chengguan Town, Fufeng County. On the east side of Nanwu Village, turn east across Baijiayao reservoir and set up Famen Temple station. The total length of the line is 24.0km, of which the bridge length is 11.4km, the tunnel length is 1.6km, and the bridge and tunnel account for 53.5%. Xi 'an to Famen Temple intercity railway Meixian east to Taibai section

It is 27.9km long and has Taibai Mountain station. Meixian East to Taibai section of the Xi 'an-Famensi Intercity Railway leads from the south of Baoji End of Meixian East Station of Longhai Line, and there is a Longhai downlink line, crossing the Lianhuo Expressway in the northwest of Yaoliu Village, crossing the Weihe River and then establishing Meixian Station, crossing the Xibao Kezhuan, turning southeast for wiring, crossing the Bawang River, and then east to the north of Tangyu Town. Taibai Mountain station is located near Taibai Mountain theme Park on the north side of Tangyu Town. The total length of the line is 27.9km, of which the bridge length is 18.4km, the tunnel length is 1.5km, and the bridge and tunnel account for 71.5%. 2 new stations are set up, and 1 connecting station is rebuilt.
