Recently, the construction land for the Shucheng Jinzhai section of the G4222 Hexian Xiangyang Expressway has been officially approved, marking the successful completion of the land approval work for the entire project and the imminent entry of the comprehensive construction phase. The total construction land approved this time is 1250.1611 hectares.

The section from Shucheng to Jinzhai on the G4222 He County to Xiangyang Expressway is a component of the newly added National Highway Network G4222 He County to Xiangyang Expressway. It is also an important section of the Hengliu and Tongshang expressways in the "Anhui Province Expressway Network Planning Revision (2020-2035)", and is another important passage connecting the Yangtze River Delta and the central western region, as well as crossing the central region of Anhui Province.

The project route starts from the northwest side of Xincang Community in Lu'an City, which is at the junction of Hefei City and Hefei City, crosses the Fengle River, enters Lu'an, passes through Shucheng County, Jin'an District, Huoshan County, Jinzhai County, and connects with the line under construction in Henan near Xiajiazhong, Tangjiahui Town, Jinzhai County. It is an important east-west expressway in Anhui Province. The total investment of the project is 24.019 billion yuan, with a total length of 170.595 kilometers. The PPP operation mode of BOT+government investment subsidies is adopted, with a franchise period of 32.5 years, including a construction period of 3 years and an operation period of 29.5 years. The project construction land was successfully approved in a relatively short period of time, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive construction and rapid progress of the project.

As a supporting project for revitalizing the Dabie Mountains revolutionary base area in western Anhui, it is an important inter provincial channel and an important tourism fast channel connecting the central provinces. After the completion of the project, it will promote the transportation links between Nanjing Metropolitan Circle, Hefei Metropolitan Circle and Wuhan Metropolitan Circle, strengthen the interconnection between Hefei, Lu'an and the Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration, which is of great significance for building the main framework of Anhui Province's comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, further improving the level of rapid access between the Yangtze River Delta and the central and western regions, and promoting the green revitalization and development of Dabie Mountains old revolutionary base areas.
