The world energy landscape has changed, and China's photovoltaic industry is booming. On July 17, 2023, Artes announced that according to the company's business strategy and capacity layout, the company signed the "Investment Cooperation Agreement on Photovoltaic New Energy industry Chain Project" with the Hohhot Municipal People's Government and the Management Committee of Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone on July 16, 2023. The company reached cooperation intention in Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to invest in the construction of photovoltaic new energy industry chain project.
The announcement shows that the Artes photovoltaic new energy industry chain project is planned to be located in the Shaerqin Industrial Zone of the development zone, north of Dingxiang Street, east of Siyuan Middle Road, and west of National Highway 209. The total area is about 7400 mu (the location, scope, plot ratio and other contents are subject to the state-owned land transfer contract obtained). The overall plan of the project is divided into three phases, of which the first phase is the annual output of 30GW single crystal rod project, 80GW crucible project, 10GW single crystal slice project, 10GW solar cell project, 5GW photovoltaic module project, 5GW related supporting products project; The second phase is the annual output of 25GW single crystal rod project, 5GW single crystal chip project, 5GW solar cell project, 5GW photovoltaic module project, 5GW related supporting products project; The third phase is the annual output of 25GW single crystal rod project, 5GW single crystal chip project, 5GW solar cell project, 120,000 tons of industrial silicon project, 100,000 tons of polysilicon project.
The total investment in the first phase of the project is about 18 billion yuan, and the investment in fixed assets is about 13 billion yuan. The first phase of the single crystal rod project will start construction in July 2023 and is scheduled to reach production in March 2024. The construction of other projects in Phase I will start in September 2023 and is scheduled to reach production in September 2024. The Phase II project and Phase III project will be separately negotiated to determine the start time based on the implementation of the phase I project and the photovoltaic market demand.
Arthas said that the project meets the strategic needs of the company's future production capacity planning, can further improve the company's competitive position in the production field of upstream products such as single crystal rod and crucible, and improve the overall layout of the upstream and downstream industry chain, based on and strengthen the development of the main industry, improve the photovoltaic industry chain, which is conducive to the company to seize the photovoltaic market development opportunities. Further enhance the company's profitability, continue to improve the company's comprehensive competitiveness, in line with the company's long-term development plan. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
