On July 15, 2023, the first ten trucks loaded with 80 tons of Nepalese Silage have been transported from the southern city of Peladpur to Shigatse, Tibet Autonomous Region, China.
Chen Song, the Chinese ambassador to Nepal, delivered a speech at the departure ceremony of Silage, saying that the export of Nepal's Silage to China is the result of joint cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to strengthen agricultural cooperation with Nepal, promote the development of modern agricultural technology in Nepal, and produce more high-quality agricultural products to meet Nepal's domestic demand while exporting to the world.
Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shresta said in his speech: "The export of Silage sends a signal that if we produce high-quality products, we have the potential to increase exports."
Nepal's Silage can not only solve the problem of winter feed for Tibetan cattle and sheep, help improve Tibet's environmental governance and soil erosion, but also help Nepalese farmers increase their income and create more employment opportunities for the local people. Editor/Xie Li
