Recently, the completion ceremony of the Bangladesh Dasher Gandhi Sewage Treatment Plant Project contracted by Chinese enterprises was held in Dhaka, the capital of Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and Prime Minister Hasina of Bangladesh and others attended the ceremony. Guests attending the ceremony spoke highly of China's implementation of the the Belt and Road Initiative, its contribution to improving the ecological environment of Bangladesh and the living standard of local people.
Prime Minister Hasina of Prime Minister of Bangladesh: The overall planning of sewage treatment in Bangladesh started from the Dashelgandhi Sewage Treatment Plant Project, which has played a huge role in improving the environment and water quality of many rivers.
The Dasher Gandhi sewage treatment plant project has actually been in operation for over a year. Over the past year, the sewage treatment problem in Dhaka City has been partially solved, and the ecological environment of Dasher Gandhi Village has significantly improved. A local "stinky river" that once accumulated silt and floating garbage has gradually become clear and bottomless.
The Dasher Gandhi sewage treatment plant project started construction in August 2017 and officially began operation in April last year. The factory can treat nearly 5 million people's domestic sewage in the capital city of Dhaka every day, greatly improving the current situation of water pollution in Dhaka and also improving the quality of life of the local people.Editor/Ma Xue
