On July 15, 2023, the Gansu Jinta 300MW photovoltaic grid-connected power generation project undertaken by Sinohydro Engineering Bureau No.4 realized full capacity grid-connected power generation, adding a touch of photovoltaic blue to the Hexi Corridor.

The project is located in the eastern photovoltaic base of Jinta County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. The total installed capacity of the project is 300 MW, the DC side capacity is 333.111 MW, and the project is supported by a 110 kV booster station equipped with 60 MW /120 MWH energy storage system. The photovoltaic field consists of 96 photovoltaic array units. The outgoing line is connected to the 330 kV Hao Hui station with 2 rounds of 110 kV voltage class.

Sinohydro Engineering Bureau No.4 shall undertake the performance tasks of the EPC general contract of the project, including the coordination and handling of land acquisition (occupation) of the project; Handling construction documents and approval documents; Supervise the procurement and supply of all equipment and materials; Engineering construction and equipment installation and commissioning; Environmental protection special design, construction and monitoring, water protection special design and construction; Go through the procedures before the booster station is connected to the network and the acceptance of the grid, and the trial operation and production transfer; Land reclamation and acceptance inspection; All special acceptance of the project; Power plant operation and maintenance before the project is transferred to production.

Since the construction started on August 21, 2022, the project construction team of Sinohydro Engineering Bureau No.4 has fully considered the time of providing design drawings, equipment procurement and supply time, personnel and equipment allocation, capital allocation, epidemic impact, construction environment and other factors, and has made a decisive start and a sprint start. Not relying on, scientific planning and organization of construction, layer upon layer implementation of safety, ring control quality, carry forward the fighting spirit of dare to fight hard, go all out to overcome many difficulties, to ensure that the project nodes realized on schedule, May 5 to obtain the full capacity grid connection notice, June 30 successful access to 330 kV Haohui change, successfully completed the grid connection work; On July 15, the full capacity was connected to the grid.

After the project is put into operation, it can provide 554,995 MWH of electricity to the regional power grid every year, save 175,200 tons of standard coal, and reduce sulfur dioxide emissions of 68.93 tons, carbon dioxide emissions of 467,200 tons, soot emissions of 19.78 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions of 98.88 tons, with good economic benefits.
