A few days ago, it was reported by Daowang that the promotion meeting for the first approval of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Qingyuan Fogang Taihe section of G4 Beijing–Hong Kong and Macau Expressway in Guangdong Province was held in Fogang County, Guangdong Province. The whole line of the project will be expanded from six two-way lanes to ten two-way lanes. It is expected to start construction in September 2023.

Project Overview
The Qingyuan Fogang Guangzhou Taihe section of G4 Beijing–Hong Kong and Macau Expressway in Guangdong is located in Qingyuan and Guangzhou. The original subgrade width is 33.5m, the design speed is 100km/h, and the standard of fully closed six lane expressway.
The reconstruction and expansion project starts from Fogang Interchange in Shijiao Town, Fogang County, Qingyuan City, connects with the G4 Beijing–Hong Kong and Macau Expressway Shaoguan Lechang to Fogang Section of Qingyuan City, passes through Tangtang Town, Fogang County, Qingyuan, Aotou Town, Taiping Town, Conghua District, Huadong Town, Huadu District, Zhongluotan Town, Dayuan Street, Baiyun District, and finally reaches Taihe Hub Interchange in Taihe Town, Guangzhou, intersects with the North Second Ring Expressway and connects with South China Expressway. The total length of the project is 72.63 kilometers, with a total investment of 15.454 billion yuan. The construction unit is Guangdong Road and Bridge Construction Development Co., Ltd. Guangshao Branch.

Technical standards: The entire line adopts the standard construction of a two-way ten lane highway, with a roadbed width of 52.5 meters and a design speed of 100 kilometers/hour. Editor/Zhao E
