On April 11, 2020, the first tunnel project in northern China was initiated, and the fast passage to reduce travel time embarked on the start of construction. The first submarine immersed tunnel in the cold area of northern China was built, and the construction of the Dalian Bay Submarine Tunnel Project in Liaoning began.
The south bank project of Dalian Bay Submarine Tunnel is a part of the south bank landing project. It directly connects to the bustling area of Dalian city center. The traffic organization strategy of "two-level bifurcation and three-way diversion" is adopted. The location of Ganglong West Road near Renmin Road and Gangwan Bridge are set up. There are three entrances on the west side and west of the cruise ship center. The south bank project is divided into two parts: Dalian Port Port Area and Onshore Area. The construction of the Port Area includes temporary cofferdams to close the Port Ports 3 and 4 of Dalian Port. The drainage will form dry land construction conditions.
The Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel Project is the first large-scale cross-sea immersed tunnel project in northern China, with a total length of about 5.1 kilometers. It connects Renmin Road, the main road in Zhongshan District in the south, and No. 20 Road, Barracuda Bay, in the north. Including submarine immersed tube tunnel engineering, land section tunnel engineering, wiring road engineering, etc., it is necessary to install 18 sections of large immersed pipes, the length of standard pipe sections is 180 meters, and the weight of a single section of immersed pipe is about 60,000 tons. The design standard of the whole line adopts two-way six lanes, the design speed is 60 kilometers per hour, it takes about 15 minutes to drive from Dalian Bay to Renmin Road, and the main structure is designed to be used for 100 years. The estimated construction period is 50 months.
The construction of the project can well promote the development of related industries in the surrounding area and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of the conditions for citizens to travel. After the completion of the project, Dalian City will add a fast passage through the north and south, which is of great significance for optimizing urban functions, promoting the integrated construction of both sides of the Dalian Bay, and building the Bohai Rim and Yellow Sea coastal economic circle, which will greatly ease the urban traffic The pressure has greatly reduced the distance between the main urban area and the northern urban area.
