Recently, the conference on integrated development of shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment industry chain was held in Zhenjiang, where 27 projects were signed on the spot. Two of them are projects in the energy field, namely Zhenjiang Jingkou Guoneng Zhenjiang Multi energy Complementary Integration Comprehensive Energy Demonstration Project with a total investment of 15.3 billion yuan and Jurong Shidangshan Pumped-storage hydroelectricity Project with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.

Ten billion level key energy projects have been successively implemented, which is an important result of Zhenjiang City's systematic planning and active construction of new energy system in recent years. At the meeting, the National Energy Group planned to invest in the construction of the comprehensive energy demonstration project of multi energy complementary integration in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, and successfully signed the contract, with a total investment of 15.3 billion yuan. By integrating various new energy sources, we will build a smart green energy system that integrates wind, solar, power, and storage, as well as a near zero carbon port. We will also simultaneously develop and construct demonstration projects such as zero carbon industrial parks and zero carbon factories.

The project includes clean, efficient and flexible coal power, green coal transit logistics base, multi energy complementary new energy system and other construction contents. The project relies on the existing Yangtze River shoreline advantages of the plant area of Guoneng Jiangsu Jianbi Power Generation Co., Ltd., makes full use of existing resources, builds a coal transit logistics base in accordance with the principles of green, environmental protection, intelligent and efficient, and forms mutual support with clean, efficient and flexible coal power projects. As a result, we will further expand the advantages of coal and electricity cooperation and become a centralized transfer base for the coal sea to the Yangtze River business of the National Energy Group, radiating the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Grand Canal basin.

Another contracted project, the Pumped-storage hydroelectricity of Jurong Shidangshan Copper Mine with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, is a key implementation project of the 14th Five Year Plan of the Medium and Long Term Development Plan for Pumped Storage (2021-2035) of the National Energy Administration. The proposed installed capacity of the project is 1.2 million kilowatts. The quarry in the 1990s was expanded into an upper reservoir, and the underground mining pit of Shidangshan Copper Mine was constructed as a lower reservoir to achieve green development and reuse of abandoned mines.

This signing is not only a milestone achievement since the signing of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, but also a new starting point for both parties to anchor common goals and deepen practical cooperation. The implementation of this project will add new momentum to Zhenjiang's efforts to build a provincial demonstration cluster of Pumped-storage hydroelectricity and promote the high-quality development of the industrial chain.
