Sri Lanka is an important node in the prosperity of the ancient Silk Road, a supporter, practitioner and beneficiary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and one of the first countries to join the Initiative. Dr. Parita Kohona, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to China, said in an interview that the Belt and Road Initiative is a grand undertaking and Sri Lanka has benefited a lot from it, and Sri Lanka is looking forward to the prosperity and cooperation of countries under the Belt and Road Initiative in the future.
