On July 26, 2023, a reporter from Jiandao Network learned from the National Public Resource Trading Platform that the bidding announcement for the construction of the four electric and related projects of the newly built Tianjin Weifang high-speed railway was officially released. The construction of the fourth power station of the Jinwei high-speed railway will officially commence in October, with a planned duration of 4 years. The entire Jinwei high-speed railway line is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2027. Previously, the pre station construction of the entire Jinwei high-speed railway line had entered the formal construction phase in January of this year.

Project Overview

The newly-built Tianjin Weifang high-speed railway line starts from Binhai railway station, the Tianjin hub, passes through Binhai in Tianjin, Cangzhou in Hebei, Dezhou in Shandong, Binzhou, Dongying, Weifang, and ends at Weifang North railway station of Jinan–Qingdao high-speed railway. The main line is 348.257 kilometers long, with 10 stations.

Expand the Binhai West high-speed train operation station, and construct supporting projects related to the Tianjin hub such as the Tianjin Weijin Qin connecting line and the Tianjin Weijing Binhai connecting line. New Tianjin Weijiang Jinan Qingdao connecting line, Weifang North Depot, Dongying South Depot, Binzhou railway station, Dongying South railway station, Weifang North railway station and other related supporting projects.

The planned construction period for the Four Electric and related projects is 1491 calendar days, with a planned start date of October 1, 2023 and a planned completion date of October 31, 2027.

Scope of bidding and division of bid sections

The newly built Tianjin Weifang High Speed Railway's four electrical and related projects include the main line project of the Tianjin Weifang High Speed Railway, with a starting and ending mileage of DK16+850- Jiqing DK192+550, as well as the construction of all four electrical projects and related projects connected to existing lines within the construction drawing design scope of the Weifang Hub and Dongying area.

Section division: This bidding is divided into three sections:

JWQD section: Strong current section. Including the entire line of power, substation, overhead contact system, four electrical building construction, HVAC, water supply and drainage, and section ancillary engineering. Main quantities:

Electric power: 8 10kV power distribution substations will be built at Binhai East Station, Huanghua North Station, Haixing West Station, Wudi East Station, Binzhou railway station, Dongying South railway station, Shouguang East Station, Weifang North railway station, and 754.88 kilometers of high-voltage through lines will be built along the line.

Substation: 7 new traction Electrical substation, 8 section posts and 15 AT posts in Binhai South, Haixing West, Wudi, Binzhou, Dongying South, Shouguang East, Weifang North; Build new electrical power supply areas in Binhai East, Wudi, Dongying South, and Shouguang East.

Contact network: The main line and various stations along the newly built Jinwei Line are connected to the network and auxiliary projects. A total of approximately 979.7 kilometers of contact lines and catenary cables are installed along the entire line, and approximately 272.9 kilometers of power supply lines are installed.

JWRD-1 standard: weak current standard 1. Including communication, signaling, information, disaster monitoring, and related engineering within the Tianjin and Hebei sections. Mileage range: DK16+850-DK131+557, with a total length of 111.182km.
