Recently, the bid opening results of the subgrade, bridge and culvert engineering construction and equity investment project of the Nanjing Yancheng Expressway in Jiangsu Province have been released. The project is divided into 14 sections, with a total investment of approximately 30.154 billion yuan approved in the preliminary design.

Project Overview

The route of subgrade, bridge and culvert works of Nanjing Yancheng Expressway starts from the north of Xinhuang Town, Luhe District, Nanjing, connects with the built Nanjing Raoyue Expressway, eastwards through Chenji and Dayi in Yizheng, Yangzhou City, Gaoyou, and continues eastwards through the south side of Xinghua City, Taizhou City, and ends at Diduo in Xinghua City, connecting the proposed Yanjing Expressway and the proposed Dongtai Xinghua Expressway. The total length of the route is 126.589 kilometers, including the Nanjing section of 12.157 kilometers, the Yangzhou section of 89.524 kilometers, and the Taizhou section of 24.908 kilometers. A total of 145 bridges, 16 interchanges, 3 service areas, 1 main toll station, 11 ramp toll stations, and 3 maintenance work areas are set up along the entire line. Necessary Transportation engineering and facilities along the line shall be constructed simultaneously. This project adopts a design speed of 120km/h, a standard construction of a two-way six lane highway, and a roadbed width of 34.5 meters.

This project is the third section of the Jiangsu Province Expressway Network Plan (2017-2035), which is an important section of the "Six Verticals, Ten Horizontals, and Fifteen Projections".
