In an interview with reporters, President Ali of Guyana said that whether it is in the energy industry such as oil, or in technology and infrastructure, Chinese enterprises have made positive contributions to the development of Guyana in various fields. He added that he hopes China and Guyana will deepen cooperation in various fields such as climate change, environment and ecological protection.

As both developing countries, China and Guyana should bear in mind the fundamental and long-term interests of the two peoples, strengthen communication and cooperation, firmly support each other and push for steady and long-term growth of China-Guyana relations. China is willing to promote deeper synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and Guyana's low-carbon development Strategy 2030, so as to elevate the level of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between the two countries.
