The DEC Reed Bridge 50 MW wind power project is located in the Andes Mountains and is currently the largest single unit and total capacity wind power project in Ecuador. It is also the first wind power project that DEC has settled in South America. Since its construction, this project has been a popular spot for local university teachers, students, and the public to visit and clock in.

DEC engineers have carefully conducted road surveys, conducted in-depth discussions with the local government and relevant parties, and developed detailed plans to renovate the roads. After the first blade arrived at the project site smoothly, the big stone weighing down on the engineers' hearts finally fell. The successful transportation of blades also broke the record for the longest transportation of goods within Ecuador.

During the project construction period, due to the local climate and strong winds during the day, lifting operations can only be carried out at night, which greatly increases the difficulty of on-site work. To this end, engineers coordinate from multiple aspects such as quality, safety, and progress, develop detailed plans, strengthen process control, seize the window period for night lifting, steadily promote project construction, and achieve the goal of full capacity grid connection of project units 20 days in advance.

The reed bridge wind farm has abundant wind resources, providing a good stage for DEC wind turbines. According to calculations, 14 DEC wind turbines can deliver approximately 130 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually, reduce standard coal consumption by 43000 tons, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 105000 tons, which will greatly promote Ecuador's diversified energy structure and green and low-carbon development.Editor/Ma Xue
