2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, which has become an important engine for global economic recovery over the past decade. As the originator and leader of the Belt and Road initiative, China's vision and action plan for the Belt and Road Initiative have infused Chinese values and spirit, laying the foundation for reconstructing the rationality of international exchanges and the spirit of the world in the new era of globalization.

To be specific, the main body of cooperation in the Belt and Road is the countries along the route, and there is no closed-door policy, no isolation of third parties, and no exclusionary provisions, which is different from the Western-led interdependent world system and collectivized cooperation mechanism. The content of the Belt and Road cooperation is policy communication, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people exchanges, which is different from the capital expansion and colonial plunder pursued by the West. The cooperation principle of the Belt and Road is extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits. It is not a solo of China, but a chorus of countries along the route, which is different from the Western governance logic dominated by major powers and co-governed by several parties. The core concept of the Belt and Road is peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit, which is different from the West's usual centrality, Cold War mentality and superiority. The rationale for the Belt and Road exchanges is to respect each other's sovereignty, dignity and territorial integrity, each other's development paths and social systems, and each other's core interests and major concerns. This is different from the convergence of social systems, Westernization of development models, and the universalization of Western culture pursued by the West. The development goal of the Belt and Road Initiative is to build an open, inclusive, balanced and inclusive regional economic cooperation architecture to promote common development and achieve common prosperity, which is different from the law of the jungle and the logic of gradient development believed in by the West.
