The latest data from Brazilian energy regulatory agency ANEEL shows that the country achieved an impressive 6.8 gigawatts growth in photovoltaic power generation capacity in the first half of 2023.
In this growth, 61 newly established large photovoltaic power plants generated 2.3 gigawatts, while distributed generation solar contributed 4.5 gigawatts, involving photovoltaic systems with scales below 5 megawatts.
It is currently unclear whether these statistics include the 1.2 gigawatts Jana ú ba solar complex, which was unveiled by Elera Renov á veis in Jana ú ba, Minas Gerais in July.
As of the end of June, Brazil's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has reached 32 gigawatts, accounting for approximately 14.7% of the country's total installed capacity, currently at 194.38 gigawatts.Editor/XingWentao
