At 14:00 on August 11, 2023, the world's largest clean energy corridor operating units reached 100, the number of start-up units reached a new high in the year, and the daily power generation exceeded 1 billion KWH for three consecutive days. One billion KWH of clean electricity is equivalent to saving about 300,000 tons of standard coal and reducing about 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 1.05 million people. The world's largest clean energy corridor is fully committed to ensuring the production and living electricity demand of the people in the electricity receiving areas.

The six cascaded power stations of Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges and Gezhouba along the main stream of the Yangtze River managed by the Three Gorges Corporation have installed a total of 110 hydroelectric generating units, with a total installed capacity of 71.695 million kilowatts and an average annual generating capacity of about 300 billion KWH, which can meet the annual electricity demand of more than 300 million people, forming the world's largest clean energy corridor. It can save more than 90 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide by more than 240 million tons per year.

 The daily peak load of the cascade power station exceeded 33 million kilowatts, reaching a new high after breaking the historical record for two consecutive days on July 11 and 12, ensuring the "stability" of power supply and the "safety" of people's lives. From August 8 to August 10, the power generation of the cascade power station exceeded 1 billion KWH for three consecutive days, and a steady stream of green electric energy rushed to the power grid, effectively alleviating the tension in the power supply area, and made positive contributions to China's power security and energy green low-carbon transformation.

In the future, Changjiang Electric Power will pay close attention to the changes in water and rain conditions in the basin and the supply and demand situation in the electricity receiving area, continue to do a good job in hydrometeorological forecasting and prediction, optimize the operation mode of the power station on a rolling basis, strengthen the operation and maintenance management of equipment, and make every effort to ensure the safe and stable supply of electricity during the kurtosis summer.
