With the increasingly serious global climate problems, in the context of energy transition, the development of the photovoltaic industry has accelerated. The latest data show that in the first half of 2023, China's photovoltaic power generation capacity continued to grow rapidly, and the new capacity reached 78.42 million kilowatts, accounting for 56% of the country's new power generation capacity. As of the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation was about 470 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower to become China's second largest installed power supply, second only to coal power.
At the same time, photovoltaic power generation is also growing, and the overall utilization of photovoltaic power generation remains at a high level. In the first half of the year, the cumulative photovoltaic power generation reached 266.3 billion KWH, an increase of about 30%, and the average utilization rate was about 98%.
In addition, the scale of investment in photovoltaic power generation is also rising. In the first half of the year, China's photovoltaic power generation completed investment of more than 130 billion yuan, accounting for about 50% of all renewable energy completed investment, which strongly promoted economic growth.
