During the same period, two special events, namely the New Energy Industry Ecological Innovation Conference and the New Energy Industry Technology Innovation Competition, will be held, hosted by the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center and the Zaozhuang Finance Bureau, and organized by the Zaozhuang Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the New Energy Industry Ecological Innovation Conference will establish the first domestic new energy industry innovation application ecological consortium organization, which will combine upstream and downstream industry chain enterprises in the new energy industry, and import innovation resources from external universities, research and development institutions, forming a comprehensive ecological innovation application synergy. The New Energy Industry Technology Innovation Competition aims to stimulate innovation vitality, promote cooperation and exchange, and collect projects around lithium battery materials, lithium battery related equipment, automotive power batteries, energy storage batteries, cutting-edge battery technologies, new energy storage technologies, automotive electronics, automotive electric drives, and advanced photovoltaic technologies. The conference uses the technology chain to drive high-quality development of the industrial chain, promoting the integration of technology, ecology, industry, talent, and capital.

The relevant person in charge of the Finance Bureau of Zaozhuang City stated at the press conference, "The lithium battery industry is a leading industry that Zaozhuang City focuses on cultivating. We seize the opportunity of the national implementation of the 'dual carbon' strategy and Shandong Province's support for the cluster development of the lithium battery industry in Zaozhuang City, highlight the development advantages of the lithium battery industry, and fully build a green and safe new energy model city and the lithium battery capital of northern China

The scale of the lithium battery industry in Zaozhuang City is rapidly increasing. At present, there are 117 lithium battery enterprises in the city, an increase of nearly five times compared to 2020. They have achieved a production capacity of 100000 tons of positive electrode materials, 40000 tons of negative electrode materials, 1.6 billion square meters of separators, 130000 tons of electrolyte, 276GWh of battery cells, and 4000 tons of dismantling. Since 2022, the revenue growth of the lithium battery industry has remained above 100%, and they have achieved a leapfrog acceleration in the new lithium battery track.

In addition, leading enterprises drive the clustering of education chains, highlighting their development advantages. Zaozhuang City has improved the working mechanism of "chain leader+chain leader+alliance+fund", fully supporting the accelerated development of local leading enterprises such as Fengyuan Lithium Energy, Zhongcai Lithium Film, Lianhong Xinke, Jinggong Electronics, and attracting a group of leading enterprises such as Geely, Xinwangda, Kodali, Yienke, Chuangpus New Energy, and Boreton, forming an industrial development pattern of leading traction, project driving, and group collaboration.

At the same time, Zaozhuang City has built 45 lithium battery research platforms to promote the deep integration of industrial and innovation chains, successfully creating the only lithium battery industry innovation and entrepreneurship community and energy storage battery technology center in the province. The National Lithium Battery Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center has entered the international standardization laboratory sequence. The lithium battery enterprises in the city have authorized 1676 patents, of which invention patents account for 35%. 20 of them are at the international leading level, and the effect of empowering the high-quality development of the lithium battery industry with technological innovation is accelerating.
