On August 25, 2023, China Power Construction Group Northwest Survey Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. announced the results of negotiations on the procurement project of 100,000 kilowatts of direct air cooling system equipment for the Haixi Base of Qingyu Direct Current Phase II, and the transaction was SHOUHANG Energy Technology Co., LTD., the executive vice president unit of the National Solar Thermal Alliance.

The project is contracted by the purchaser to provide a set of direct air cooling system and all its ancillary equipment and accessories, including the selection, design, manufacturing, testing (including type test, factory test, handover test), supply, packaging, transportation and on-site handover of equipment and components within the scope of supply; Provide guidance for installation and commissioning, on-site technical training; Guide the field test and acceptance, participate in the trial operation and assist in the handover and acceptance; Responsible for product documentation preparation and submission.

The 100,000kW solar thermal project of Haixi Base is located in the south of Wutu Meiren solar Power Generation Park in Golmud City, Haixi State, Qinghai Province, about 140km to the west of Golmud City. The site area is unused land in the desertification state, mainly desert sandy land, with an altitude of more than 2,900 meters. Molten salt tower photothermal power generation technology is adopted, the construction scale is 1×100MW, and it is planned to connect to the 110kV low voltage side of the 330kV gathering station planned and constructed in the access park with 1 110kV line, and connect to the system with 2 330kV lines. Through Qinghai and Henan ±800kV UHV DC project (Qingyu DC Phase II) transmission channel consumption (access system scheme final access system design and approval opinions prevail).
