At the beginning of the year 2023, China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CREEC), shortly after celebrating its 70th anniversary, received exciting news on several important projects: the New Chengdu-Kunming Railway was put into operation, work commenced on the upgrading and reconstruction of the China-aided Luang Prabang Hospital in Laos, and construction was completed on the left roadway of Shaping River Super Bridge in the Hengxian-Nanning Section of Cenxi-Daxin Expressway.

Lights burn bright late into the night at the CREEC headquarters, the command center for the company’s domestic and overseas projects. In the 10th year of the Belt and Road Initiative, the central enterprise in Sichuan at the forefront of “going global” continues to work on overseas projects improving connectivity along the Belt and Road, whether completed and put into operation or under construction.
