The Cocodi Bridge in Abidjan, a project within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative built by a Chinese company for Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire, was officially opened to traffic.

The Cocody Bridge, also known as the Abidjan Five Bridge, was financed by the Islamic Development Bank and adopted international bidding procedures. China Road and Bridge won the bid and was responsible for the construction of the project. The total cost of the project was 97.872 trillion West French francs (approximately US$170 million). The total length is 1.63 kilometers, the main bridge is 630 meters long, and the main span is 200 meters. It connects the Cocody and Plateau districts of Cote.
