On the morning of September 25, 2023, the Neijiang branch of Sichuan Province's 2023 major project on-site promotion event was successfully held. Neijiang and the province simultaneously promoted a new batch of 108 major projects in 2023, with a total investment of 37.705 billion yuan.

The projects being promoted this time cover many aspects such as industrial development, infrastructure, and social and people's livelihood. The Neijiang International Logistics Port railway dedicated line project is a key project of strategic cooperation between Neijiang City and the Chengdu Railway Bureau. It is a landmark project in the construction of Neijiang regional logistics hub.

At the scene, the Neijiang International Logistics Port railway dedicated line project was fully launched and advanced. The project is located in the core area of Neijiang International Logistics Port, covering an area of about 522 acres, and is connected to the Neijiang South Station of the Neijiang Railway. The first phase has a total investment of 847 million yuan, a construction period of 12 months, and a designed to ship capacity of 2.67 million tons and 80,000 tons. TEU/year, it is of great significance to promote Neijiang to build an important base for China-ASEAN trade docking, a Sichuan-Chongqing-ASEAN import and export base and a southbound train assembly center, and to build a national logistics hub city.

Since 2023, Neijiang has focused on implementing the "Year of Accelerating Project Investment" action, and a number of major projects with large size, good benefits, and high-quality development requirements have been started or completed, such as Red Bull Beverage, Meineng New Materials, and Rongtong Lithium Battery Cathode Materials.
