On September 25, 2023, Yunnan International and Lao National University held a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony for an Integrated Smart Energy project in Vientiane, Laos.

Lao National University Integrated Smart Energy project uses libraries, gymnasiums, parking lots and other venues to build rooftop distributed photovoltaic, photovoltaic carports and charging piles, and from the campus operation needs, customized configuration of integrated smart elements. Lao National University, as the number one institution of higher learning in Laos, the project serves the construction of green campus with the concept of smart low-carbon, will improve the comprehensive utilization rate of energy, and form a good demonstration effect in countries along the Belt and Road.
